The Laying Machine

The Laying Machine uses simple fixed-liability staking parameters:

  • Only place the bet when the Live Lay Odds are 10.0 or below
  • If the Live Lay Odds remain above 10.0 – No Bet
  • Stake using Fixed Liability, rather than a fixed lay stake
  • We recommend 1pt maximum liability per selection
  • This means the most you can lose on any individual Laying Machine selection is 1pt, regardless of the lay price
  • Once the table changes from WAITING to LAY, the selection has met the required price and can be played
  • If a selection never reaches the required odds before the race – simply leave it alone
  • Total Bank: 100pts

So if the lay price was 5.00, for example, a 1pt fixed liability would mean laying to a stake of 0.25pts. If the horse loses, you win 0.25pts (before commission); if it wins, you lose your maximum 1pt liability.

IMPORTANT – ALWAYS USE FIXED LIABILITY

The Laying Machine is designed around fixed-liability staking. Do not simply lay the same cash stake on every selection.

At lay odds of 9.00, a Β£10 lay stake would risk Β£80, whereas at odds of 2.00 the same Β£10 lay stake would risk just Β£10.

Using 1pt fixed liability means your maximum risk is always the same β€” 1pt per selection β€” regardless of the lay odds.

Fixed liability keeps every Laying Machine bet operating on the same level of risk.

The Laying Machine

How It Works:Β

The Laying Machine goes to work each morning, analysing the day’s races through our racing data, ratings and algorithms to build a hidden watchlist of potential lay opportunities.

As each race approaches, The Laying Machine checks those candidates against the live exchange market. Only horses trading at the required lay price of 10.0 or below remain in contention, before the Matrix makes its final selection.

If a qualifying LAY is found, the horse will appear in the table underneath with its live lay price. If nothing meets all the requirements, there is simply no bet in that race.

Not every race will produce a selection β€” and that’s exactly the point. We let the data, the ratings and the live market decide when there is a genuine Laying Machine opportunity.
